First of all sorry for the absence from the blog over the past couple of months … this was the due to exam period and finishing off 2nd year and then a 10 day trip to Rome that followed straight away. I’m now home and busy doing creative things whilst I wait for the results of 2nd year of Uni.
My trip to Rome was courtesy of my lovely Roman friend Arianna, who’s family lives in Rome. So my friends Stephen and Michael, and myself, went to stay in her gorgeous Rome apartment for 10 days. Not only did we have the luxury of free (and beautiful) accommodation and delicious home cooked food by Ari’s mom, but we also had the fantastic opportunity to see Rome through the eyes of native Romans, rather than as tourists. That’s not to say we didn’t do touristy things, you can’t go to Rome and not see the Pantheon and the Colosseum … but we did manage to visit hidden food places and even got a trip into Palazzo Borghese thanks to Ari’s father working there. Here are some photos from my trip, which consisted of 35 degree sunny days followed by crazy thunderstorms … and I promise you will see some drawings, 2D animations and some commissioned work ASAP!
